New Free Resources: Non-Violent Communication for Youth Workers

In a world where young people face polarisation, online conflict, and constant pressure to take sides, empathic communication has become an essential skill — for them, and for the youth workers who support them.

That is why, under the Erasmus+ project From Conflict to Connection, we developed a complete learning package on Non-Violent Communication (NVC) and today we are sharing it with the wider community, completely free.

What’s included:

  • 📘 One practical handbookNon-Violent Communication: From Conflict to Resolution — covering the four core components of NVC (observations, feelings, needs, requests), real case studies from youth work, and ready-to-use exercises for groups.
  • 🎥 Ten short video tutorialsDialogue Pathways — each focused on one concrete skill: recognising observations vs. interpretations, naming feelings and needs, formulating clear requests, de-escalating tension in a group, and more.

Both resources are designed for youth workers, trainers, peer educators, and NGOs working with young people across Europe. Use them in your trainings, workshops, exchanges, or for your own professional development.

👉 Download both resources here: https://youthconnection.eu/resources/

If you work with young people, please share this with your network the more youth workers carry these tools into their communities, the further the impact reaches.
